GeorgieGirl
I would like some advice on towing mirrors. We are driving a ford s/wagon and towing a jayco swan. We are travelling for 5 months. Which mirrors are good with no vibration?
Thanks GeorgieGirl

There is one you can get that clips onto the door lip in the window
well and has a brace that rests on the side door panel and a webbing strap that tightens up with a ratchet.
Too hard to describe, have a look at camec site
www.camec.com.au/
"Products" and "Vehicle accessories"

I have Aussie Truck Mirrors and they are just fine. Researched the forums before I purchased and these seemed to have the most positive reports.

I would second the Aussie Truck Mirrors.
Having said that they do not fit my new Prado (sloping mirror guard) and so I have a pair surplus to requirements .
The ones I bought for the Prado are the Ora Enzo .

Interesting Deserter.
When I say they do not fit, they appeared not to fit between the rubber and mirror and the plastic bottom of door was also a problem.
Did you need any modifications and what about the window does it scratch?
Where are you situated?

I've had a go at most types of commercial towing mirrors none of which have been much good. You either can't see round the c'van or they vibrate too much.
I made my own mirrors eventually. They are fitted on my roo bar and are on adjustable telescopic arms for adjustment. The mirrors themslves are 6" round convex mirrors. Being convex, this eliminates 90% of the distortion due to viabration and also helps with adjustment. I also have a rear view camera which I find very useful
