Abandoned Gunbarrel section

Anyone know the current condition of the abandoned section of the Gunbarrel Hwy (Warakurna/
Warburton) since the rain earlier this year? I can't find any posts/feedback on this on the
forum.

It came up about month or so ago, someone reported then that it was ok, much less travelled than the main sections so not as
well defined or corrugated as the rest. The two times we've travelled it has been pretty good for the above reasons as
well as being very scenic.
The western end is a very good graded road as it is the main access to a community.

Thanks, traveller2. Thought someone on Exploroz would have been there. Was just wondering if the rain had caused more washouts along the
Rawlinson Range, or the track was becoming overgrown through lack of traffic. Have seen that the western section is now a part of a graded community road.
