Have run mine on nothing but unleaded and not experienced any problems. It was suggested to give it a small dose of injector cleaner now and again which I did once but noticed no difference.
I am careful however to refill with fresh fuel for each trip.

I always run it on unleaded. Single mantle light 10 years old. Never any problems.
When I first bought it, I did try the smaller light & that was a real bugger to light. Mine is the same physical size at the twin mantle light.

Ceebee, I've got the big Coleman Dual Fuel. I mostly run it on ULP, but every 8 or 10 fills I do a fill with Coleman Fuel. This was suggested to keep the jets clean.

Once, it seemed the jets might have been a bit blocked as it would not burn at full brightness, but after a while it cleared itself. No idea if this was caused by ULP. Might even have been me.

We prefer UPL as it reduces the types of fuel we carry. Already have to carry diesel for 4B, ULP for generator, boat and chain saw, 2 stroke oil for boat and chain saw. On longer trips, I toss in a litre of Coleman Fuel to get a couple of fills of that. On shorter trips (say 3 weeks or less) I don't bother.

Norm, that is a "normal" problem, to fix you turn control to full on and then right down low, then straight away back to full on and repeat a couple of times, think that is in the instruction booklet.

Instruction Book? Who reads instruction Books?
Thanks for the info Pete and Lez. I suspect that's how I fixed it by 'stuffing around' with the dial for a while. I now know that I have the right technique.
Thanks

You won't regret it. A brilliant light - in all senses :)

I have been very pleased with my single mantle light and have just started to run it on ULP rather than Shellite.

Thats alright until you want to wander away from the vehicle. Versalite is not as portable, but still a very good light.
