I have heard that the Innaminka trading post now has a bakery.

Can anyone tell me is it any more than just bread because my son will be celebrating his 11th birthday while we are in Innaminka and we are wondering what to do about some sort of cake for him.

If the bakery does not do that sort of thing what do you think the chances are of the pub chef making one for us.

Of course we will pay for the cake.

Thanks...Janet

Might be better to give them both a phone call.

I agree with Shaker - give them a ring. I only saw bread there - yummy especially when still hot. They may be prepared to order in an eleventh birthday cake frozen if you give them enough notice and pay in advance perhaps.

Trading Post is 08 8675 9900 and the Pub 08 8675 9901.

We were there 12 months ago, and they were making fresh bread most days, but dont recall anything else.

Maybe the trading post would oredr one, and I am sure the chef would do one for you too!

(We've done a chocloate damper before, complete with sparklers for effect.)

Or you could do a cake mix in the camp oven!

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Sometimes the most obvious solutions such as phoning the pub or trading post are sooo obvious that they are not obvious at all.

I will phone the pub shortly because we are planning on having dinner there on the 5th/8 for his birthday.

I'll let you know how I go.

Thanks again.....Janet

I rang the pub today and they are going to order a chocolate mud cake for my son's birthday.

Thanks again to all who gave me some advice.

Safe travells....Janet
