Leaking heater coil - LC100

Advise please, is the heater coil under the dash in a 2001 LC100 repairable, is it worth it, should I buy new, how much and is this a job someone with half a brain should attempt? Thanks in advance.

I can't answer your questions specifically but if it has started leaking after the advent of cold weather I'd be tightening the hose connections, not unusual for the metal pipes to shrink enough to loosen the connection in cold weather and allow a small seep.
