Where on 4wds does the word boat appear. Yesterday was a perfect example of how to ruin someones sunday. One sunken car
King Edward river and two at
Ivanhoe crossing. First one got away with it after drying it out and checking got it restarted just a soggy mass. Second one owner got it started before I got there and it idled lovely he said so revved it to clean it out and sucked a gut full of
water out of the air box into motor + one dead 2006 jeep..
Cant stress enough the driving schools 4wd clubs have. Cheaper than the logistics and effort required to recover.

Just because someone has the money to afford a 4 wheel drive doesn't mean that they also have the brains to use it wisely !!

What is it about jeeps and brains - they don't necessarily seem to go together. We recently pulled a bloke a bloke out of a
creek on the
Bloomfield Track after he had decided the crossing was wide enough for him to be 5 metres off to the left of where everybody else was crossing. Got hung up on a rock, as you might expect. And guess what, the notoriously low hanging jeep oil filter got holed!!!

Yes He Does
With a full suit of body armour underneath along with a 2.5in lift.
That b a s t a r d oil filter is
well and truly protected.

Gday Squizzy, what happened at Ivanhoe? Did they drive off the side or something, didn't seem to be enough
water to cause problems the other day when I took the car down for an underbody wash.
Cheers Andrew

Lucy mate, there is a bumper sticker saying "It is a Jeep thing. You wouldn't understand".
It was rather tongue in cheek.

Tis a people thing Andrew. to fast big bow wave. Like speeding to get home before you run out of petrol or getting out of
the pool when it starts to rain....grin

Surely the King edward doesnt have that much
water this time of year? or has the dry season rains kept it up?

There you go, owner/driver problem - not a vehicle problem.
