Anyone bought one of these
winches of Ebay.
* double gear , ratchet action.
3 x drop forged safety catch hooks.
all steel construction - made from heavy gauge flat stock steel.
cushion grip handle.
heavy duty aircraft cable - 3meters long & 6mm diameter.
heavy duty ratchet & pawl - made from 3 seperate plates of steel for strength & long life.
8000 lb pulling capacity.
4000 lb lifting capacity.
all for about $40.00.- numerous sellers of same product
I need something to pull out some golden palm stump roots in rear garden. can't get vehicle around back of house.
probably chit for that price hey-but if it works a couple of times

Adelaide I have 1 you can borrow and try out.
Like you thought it may be worth a go. I have carried it around a bit but never needed. Probably never will now I have fitted a winch to the vehicle.
