It's a cryptic clue for the place that people are trying to guess in
Pick this Place. Although I have seen most of the guesses since I posted this message and it makes me wonder if it was too cryptic.
What I am meaning is our
Places system accepts both abbreviations such as Mt and Mt. or full words such as Mount. Those who know our
places system – would know that a certain way was more predominantly used.

Damian - that makes a lot of sense.
Either abbreviations or full words ...
Um, but help me here, what other options did you have?
And are you trying to help me win? or are you getting frustrated at how long it has taken us to guess this one?
Cheers
Andrew.

I have just looked at"
Places' and the competitionfor the first time. I've noted that you are up to clue 100. Can I find a list on the other 99 somewhere?

Hi there,
Sorry but there has only been one clue and that was at the 100 guess mark.
Another clue will come in a while so stay tuned...

Certainly the distant topography suggests that it may be a small isolated
hill somewhere - or - maybe it is a just a marker, to mark the place of somewhere special, like a border or something
