As all to often we hear about the problems and lack of service I feel obliged to make a public comment on the great service and warranty back up I received from Pirahna Off Road.
I had a problem with my Pirahna dual battery system and rang the head office up, they gave me a couple of things to try and if unsuccessful to call them back, which I did. My unit was nearly 5 years old and even thought the official warranty had expired they said to make a booking and bring the car up for them to have a look. A few tests later they concluded that the unit was non operational and without hesitation removed it and replaced it with their new version at no cost and extended the warranty on the new version for the full five years. I would like to thank Alan and all his team for service well beyond my expectations and feel confident in recommending them.

Walter,
I had a very similar issue with my Piranha DBsystem and rang them. They said come over, had a look, said it was faulty and replaced it instantly. They are a very honest and customer focussed company from my experience with them.

I reckon some companies that give super service like that can afford to do it because their products are so reliable and its cheap for them to pick up the odd problem even if out of warranty.

I have two Piranha products that have never needed fixing - a battery controller fitted in 1997 which has been everywhere since (250,000 km). Dirty, hot, bumpy and still working, and a 12 volt hand lamp that has never been treated gently and still works.

You can buy cheap but sometimes its cheap to buy quality I reckon.

Max your message is a good one:

"You can buy cheap - but sometimes its cheap to buy quality"

Pirahna is a quality product, I've replaced two Redarcs on two vehicles, mine with a Pirahna DBE150 system and the GF's with a cheaper Matson Electronic system, it's only a weekender use Troopie so not vital to have the absolute best installed as it will be sold at the end of winter.
