OK so on our trip back to Perth from Broome, my dear wife side swiped my beloved Landcruiser with a small pole at a petrol station in Carnarvon.
I kicked her out of the drivers seat, told her she'll never drive the Cruiser again and then didn't say a word to her until about Geraldton.

So tonight I've ducked down to the shops and never saw that I had parked next to a "small pole". On the way out, there was a huge jolt, a crunch and some other bone crunching sounds. So not happy!

I've only just had the Cruiser back from the panel shop to repair the minor dent the handbrake. Guess she's going back into the shop for another week.

The worst part about it was that horrid feeling in my gut when I had to tell the wife and the ego shrinking to absolute zero when she laughed out hysterically at my misfortune.

Karma's a mongrol I tell ya.......time for a beer or three I think.

ooroo for now.

Brett C,
couldn't you have hidden your ding, or not said anything, or had it fixed without SWMBO knowing :-0

I would have thought of something..........

Hi Brett C
And you bloody ego deserve it. Didn’t it? Next time when your better half will have bad luck, think “it could have been me”.
Cheer up it’s only the car, but wish you more luck anyway.

But Roachie, you deserve to have these urine samples taken from you frequently.
But Karma happens. I just can't wait for it to happen to someone else.

Did that at the Adelaide Show 1970, My Grecian Gold GT Cortina got a small dent and scrape on left fender from a pole I swung into while reversing , next morning I reached up under the panel, give it a thump, popped the dent out, a bit of cut and polish and the problem was fixed , you could not see where it had happened, lucky i guess,

Relationship building stuff that. Makes them stronger or shatters them :o)

Of course, she will remember twice as long as you can, and it will be topic at every BBQ for the next 5 years when cars come up. :o0

But good on you to admit that you do make mistakes, in her own way she will be proud of you, that you can admit to your mistakes.

I had and old 81 model Hi Lux mint condition motor purred like a kitten we where on our way back from Cape Flattery north of Cook Town my better Half took the corner to quick started to drift sideways instead of giving it a little juice she slammed the breaks on and over she went luckily l had the canopy on she come to a slow stop and over she went. my 4 year old was the first out little scary at the time but funny after I remember how he stood looking at the car little tears in his eyes poor little bugger. Any way luckily my misses parents where with us they pulled us back on to the wheel little damage to the steering damage all down one side but no one was hurt, luckily most of the corners on the way back where left hand turns lol had to reverse a couple of times to make it around some corners took it down to the local mechanic luckily he had an old steering arm in the back yard of his workshop. But the trip up there was fantastic had the whole beach to our selves for 5 days fond memories back then. And of course me and the misses are still together after 14 years lol in one piece with 3 rug rats. Just show how easy it can be to have a lapse of concentration.

Hahahaha, ROTFLMAO !
My better half had the misfortune of jacknifing the trailer whilst reversing it one day without me there and denting the bumper, I thought the better of pulling the pee out of her just in case, must have been someone warning me as a little later we were at Landcruiser Park, I was reversing back down a hill, whilst looking back up the hill picking the best track option for attempt No. 2 I promptly backed into a tree !
I guess you learnt one thing out of it all , we all make mistakes :-))

Hehe, oh man it sux don't it. We had these two trees on the front verge that I could just sqeese in between with the 4by. The driveway was like a single that turned into a double up the top so when working on or washing cars I alwas put one out there.

I never let Bec move the 4by from there because it was too tighter spot. I'd done it a million times wihtout incident. Then one day while my best mate was sitting in the passenger seat I hit reverse and go VROOM CRUNCH. Backed straight into the tree, still got the scar on the back of the surf from that one. LOL. Lucky for me the spoiler type thing up on top of the wagon took the brunt of it and it is suprisingly strong. Just scrached it and put a small ding, you can hardly notice it. But it made one hellofa noise.
