Hi all,
Does anyone know about the average number of cars using the Gunbarrel each day / week (
Wiluna /
Warburton). Is there any record about it ??
This is a quite important issue for me (solo traveller). If more than 2/3 a day, I will drive the road, otherwise I must find other passtimes.
Cheers
Eric

Eric,
A few weeks ago there was maybe 1-4 a day. Now further into the season there will probably be more.
Take the normal precautions and you will be fine but don't do the abandoned section if you are not fully prepared.
Cheers
Alan

Eric,
It is a little hard to anticipate things like this. I travelled the Gunbarrell about this time last year and didn't see one other car until
Carnegie Station, where I camped with a couple in a Landcruiser ute. The next car I was was about 4km from the
intersection with the GCR.
OTOH you may be struggling to find a
campsite!!!!! ;-)
Cheers,
Mark
