I have a 2005 100 series landcruiser and am interested in putting a endless air compressor in. just curious to see if anyone else has put one into a 100 series. were you able to fit with little or no modifications. were you able to install a tank under the bonnet. would appreciate any feed back on this topic. thanx

You will no doubt be asked what engine it has in it by the people in the know.

Also I would just put the tank under the body somewhere, prob up against a chassis rail.

I enquired and it could not be installed on the 4.2 TD. No room for compressor.

I was just thinking if it was possible to use a Waeco 12v A/C mounted on the roof and fit some type of unit in place of the A/C compressor........well there's just the thing, the A/C is a compressor, .......what's your comment on that idea

It can be done, however you will have to give up your air con, I had one on my 80 series and it was piggy backed to the air con compressor, unfortunately I had to remove it when I added an intercooler and the hoses had to go where the endless air compressor was, the unit is still sitting in the garage as I hope someone will find a way to install it onto the 100TD. I have mounted my air tank under the car against the chassis.
Cheers

I spoke to a fella from endless air yesterday and he told me it would fit in the 4.2TD. I had a look under the bonnet this morning and unsure where (or how) it would be mounted with little to no space. Thus, why i raised the question to fellow 4.2TD owners.

Just had a look at their web site and you are absolutely correct, they list a kit for the 100 TD, just very expensive, I dare say unrealistic.
Cat no. TOYOTA Price
B19* Toyota 100 Series 4.2L Factory Turbo with air con. $425
Would be very interested to see what the kit looks like. I hope that they relook at their pricing as I am sure they would sell like hotcakes as the compressor is one of the best if not the best as far as I am concerned.
Cheers

Not a bad price when you consider the Max air $380 odd and an ol' Bluetounge will still set you back $350.

Would be nice if that was the price for compressor and kit, that price is for the mounting kit only, the compressor is an additional $495 to $620 depending on the model.

Just ask Member Lucy for some photos. Plenty of room for a tank under the bonnet when he has finished with it. Abrams tank big enough? He could just about hide one ;-))))

i was looking at that option but too hard to fit endless in 4.2td,so i now run twin cylinder electric compressor in rear draw area with 15 ltr air tank next to auto trans mounted on top of trans mount,it fits perfectly and is not in the way of anythihg with an air fitting mounted on bullbar.if i remember correctly it came out of an isuzu truck cheers Paul
