Hey to the WA crew, a mate of mine and I are heading up to do the powerlines from east to west on Sunday evening. I was wondering if anyone's been up there recently and what the conditions are like?

We're looking at getting up there about 5:30pm or so. I don't know the way because I've only done Powerlines twice but I think it's going to be a pearler of an evening.

Hi Brett C,
If my car was going to be ready by sunday I would be in for sure but after last weekend's effort she is still in hospital. Poor girl. Make sure you get extended, extended diff, gearbox, transfercase breathers and a snorkel if you play in the holes.

hmmm so it's a little deep out there eh? man oh man it's going to be interesting.

How bad is your ride Matt?

I think there's going to be some careful consideration when looking at a few of the waterholes.

Brett the water holes are by rights out of bounds due to the risk of dieback spread. That includes the pits up near Talbot Road West which are in a Dieback Area. If you go back to my post from last weekend, there is quite a discussion about playing in the water holes.

Should be interesting driving the track at night. You really can't go wrong except you may miss some of the bypass or chicken tracks. If you get to a particular gnarly bit you'll most probably find a detour track either left or right. If you're running along the fence line the diversion is to the right. The other where you can dodge the bit where Matt is playing in the video is to the left.

Have fun allow at least 3 hrs maybe 4 at night to do the full run from Sawyers Valley to West Talbot Rd.

Hey Duncan, thanks mate. I had a chat with the mate of mine thats leading the way on Sunday night and we both agreed to avoid as many water holes as possible. Last thing we need is to get stuck out there in the middle of the night.

Will try and get some details up on Monday about the run, not sure about photos as I'm still stuck on dial up thanks to Telstra.
