I am currently researching converting my Pajero NL Exceed to LPG.
I have a quote of $3600.00 which includes the supply and fitting of a new replacement LongRange fuel tank.
Does anyone know what the existing fuel-tank capacity is and is this a reasonable quote?
Thank you.

The original tank is 92L. They will be supplying an auxillary tank which is far from long range, it will be in the region of 45-60L that sits on the passengers side, so you will be lucky to get 350km's from it. LPG tank will replace the void left by removing the original tank.

Alternatively you can get a 150L Long Range tank put in, which will be good for 1000km's and cost just under $180 to fill :o) They aren't that thirsty to warrant going to LPG... Each to their own ;o)

What size LPG tank would they be likely to fit?
I remember something about 65 litres. Does that sound right?

If this is correct - I don't seem to be gaining particularly when I am not in areas that have LPG available.

Cost me about $3200 for my Statesman so money's about right.

As for "They aren't that thirsty to warrant going to LPG"...... my fuel bill has been cut in half ;-)
I'm now looking at doing the same for my NM, but will be using an injected system, not a mixer, as they're prone to destructive backfiring with the mixer systems.
