I am wanting to clean behind my wheel arch flares. Can anyone tell me what's involved in removing f/glass (?) flares from 03/04 GU3 Patrol. It's not in repair manual. I removed screws but feels like something else fixing it there.

thanks in anticipation.

Good advice the clips are at some funny angles and can be hard to remove.

Needed to repair mine once - no clips- used black shoe goo

My GU had a good build up of mud behind the flares.

I was told by a fellow club member to drill a large holes (approx 3cm dia) in the botom of the flares.

This has worked a treat. Mud tends not to build up as mush because it tends to run out but when it does build up i poke the karcher up the hole and give it a blast and all the crap flows out. The first time I did it I could not believe the amount of crap that came out.

Cheers

Don't take them off if you can help it, you are sure to break the stupid plastic clips! $3.80 each and you might break the plastic brackets inside the flare. Also the seal is a rotten job to put back on!
