Hi to all.
Asking for a mate he is looking at a 1998 2.7 auto 5 seater 125000k for $12500 any info good or bad would be appreciated thanks to all.

I really can't give any direct information, but .........
We had a 2000 Hilux with the 2.7 in it and I can tell you that it needs a lot more grunt than it does. We ended up moving up to a 2005 120 Prado with the 4.0 and it's an amazing difference. Given that, with the Prado's extra weight I would say that a 2.7 would be a real struggle and I wouldn't look at anything less that a 3.4.

i agree with the other post as i have a 2.7 lowlux ute that we use for deliveries and you would not want to be towing a ct or van, i think a roof rack would be an imposition, as the prado is a fair bit heavier than the lowlux.
