Hey all,
I was wondering what modifications i would have to do to put 315/75/16" tyres on my stock landcruiser 100 siries. Coil springs all round with live front axle. Thanks heaps...

ignoring legalities and voiding your insurance, a complete suspension lift would be pretty much all you need...

Depends on what you want to do.
315 (35") tyres rub the rear guards on my 80 series with a 6" suspension lift if i flex it all the way.

If you just want to drive around without flexing it up you could probably get away with a 4" lift.

James,

A four inch lift will allow the tyres to fit, but they will rub on the bolts that attach the factory mud flaps at the front and rear. The front sheet metal that protrudes from behind the front needs to be modified so the tyres don't touch when articulating (only a small section about 40mm long on each side).

Don't forget to consider the change to overall gearing and loss of power if you have the naturally aspirated 4.2 diesel...

Ross.
