Hi everybody
Would anybody know, in what condition is Sandover Hwy today?
We droved two years go over Plenty Hwy to Mt. Isa, and by our standard it was in excellent condition. So we thought we may try this time the other one…..

Thanks Dana

Gday,
Willem has just gone up that way, via the dirt, so Id say he would have a pretty good idea.
Maybe try a post Attention Willem???

We did the first 250km of the Sandover off the Plenty a week or so ago. The first 100km is pretty bumpy with dints in the middle of the road and rivulets on the shoulders. So 80kmh or less was the order of the day. Don't rely on fuel along the way as when we passed by, the store was closed at Alparra.

Cheers

Hi Willem
Thanks very much. I presume they don’t maintain Sandover Hwy these days at all….
Pity... but it is boring to go home after CSR on Stuart Hwy…It doesn’t sound like us…
We will see…. since we will have 7 Jerries for diesel & 3 for water we may try it any way…Jah and there is one spot I would like to wonder in to, and that is Urandangi pub, I really like it there….. It is good fun….
I ‘m very grateful for your answer anyway.

Ciao Dana
