Hi all,
I am thinking of fitting Bilstein shockers and would like to no if anyone out there has them to there 120 Prado and what type you fitted i.e. B6…etc.
I have also been told that in general all
the springs made in Australian with Australian steel are good quality.
I’m looking at getting QUADRANT SUSPENSIONS to fit the Bilsteins and use there springs.
Can I get anyons experiance/thoughts on the above??

G'day Adam,
can't comment on the Bilsteins sorry mate, have you had issues with the factory shocks or are you looking at a lift at the same time? They are pretty good value, maybe a tad soft for some situations but strong and durable.

Adam,
I've got Bilstiens (part # F4-BE5-A713-M0) and Lovells (part #TFR-118 Front and part # TRR-119 Rear) this gives +30mm lift on my Prado 120. I am very happy with this setup. There are guys with up to 70mm lift but I was advised against this as it would cause front end problems. (Which I know some have encountered).
Your spot on with only using Aussie made springs. I may be wrong but I was under the understanding that only Lovells, King and Dobson springs are Aussie made.

Haven't heard anything about Quadrant
Suspension, Adam.
I have a Bilstein/Ridepro set-up that gives me about a 50mm lift. It was installed by ATS, a specialist 4wd
shop in
Geelong.

Adam,
Have had standard
suspension, OME and Bilstein on a 120 when I had Prado's.
Bilstein was by far the best setup if going off road a lot. OME destroyed themselves quickly on a desert crossing and the standard ones were quite harsh.
Give ATS
geelong a call. They ould be able to advise you the best for your situation.
If I hardly went off road and spent most of the time on the blacktop I would save the money and go OME but off road another story

Used Bilstiens for years on rally car. They were the best shockies I used. Next best were DeCarbon.
