They have closed down. A mate of mine bought a lot of their fridges as part of the closing down sale.

Reefer was taken over by an Internatioanal syndicate that thought they knew everything lost the designer of the fridges and went down the gurgler.

The Reefer and Liemac (Earlier name) run a Mitsubishi Rotary compressor.

The reefer can basically be fixed by any fridge mechanic as the only pipeing joints are external and all internal piping is continuous so should not be leaking.

They are valved on both the high side and the low side and if gasing should be evacuated on both high and low or will not work efficiently.

The only thing a fridgy could not do is fix the inverter and controller and the firm that built these items them still exists in South Aus.

Rod Dun of Rods Country Camping used to distribute both Liemac and Reefer and he is a top bloke and he travels the show circuits and still uses a Liemac himself.

I believe he is currently at the Wauchope NSW 4x4 show and he might be able to guide you as to what you can do .

You can contact him on 0418423610 .

OOPs should have read the lot.
The genuine Reefer is what I spoke of and the poster above is correct in stating that Ruei Shing can help with the plastic models that came in the 40L 60L and 100L and a later steel one.

The good fridge was expensive and designed and built in Mt Barker and was an excellent product.

The designer still has the first ever Liemac in his Cruiser and a fisherman near me has one of the originals also and it has never missed a beat and runs 24/7 in the back of his hilux twin cab.
