Has anyone got any suggestions of where to buy a new 1HZ long motor from - a while back I recall someone getting one from a Toyota dealer for about $7500...

I seem to recall that a 4wd trader mag has adverts for genuine Tojo parts, inc
long motors.
If nobody comes up with anything in the meantime, when I get home I'll see if I can find out more details for you.

Well Jay Jay you beat me to it.
I mentioned sometime ago about Lanes selling them as I have watched that sucker they have displayed by the spare sparts counter for quite awhile.
I thought they were $7,500, however I haven't been there for awhile so no doubt it is steadily coming down.
Apparently when they first came on the market (1HZ engines) a new long motor was approx $14,000.
I have seen them at ARB Southern in Dandenong as
well.

Darwin, they have reco motors starting at about $6500 they can transport anywhere.

I would give this a call, Some people take a perfectly good motor to replace it with the V8 what would they be doing with those motors
