I have been looking at a draw system for the back of my GU Patrol. The Outback system looks great but comes with a big price tag. The question i have is has anyone had the Bulldust draws (from WA) fitted. They are nearly half the price! I dont have the time to make my own as another trip has been planed with short notice and need something straightaway. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris,
I got my drawers from trek tek(4wd monthly add). They were just over a grand delivered to safety bay(WA). Good quality and work well. Just bolt into the standard tie down points on my 80 so no holes to drill or anything and can take them out in 15 minutes if I need too
Matt

Thanks Matt,

Have checked Trek Tek's web page but draws are not listed on there. I will give them a buzz on Monday.

Cheers,
Chris

Not having a go at your spelling, but you may do better searching for 'drawers'.

Chris ,

One thing to look out for when you are looking at drawers .

Through ARB , I bought the ones made in Cairns which always have the big ads in the mags .

The floor of the drawers was steel which bowed upwards in the middle . When I went over a bump , the drawer I filled with heavy food would force this hump down with a clunk , then it would pop up again . Very annoying and ARB fixed this by welding support steel across the bottom .

Apart from this problem, the drawers have been brilliant . You can stack so much food and cooking gear into them .

Cheers ,

Willie .

It was Jimbo, don't know what happened to him, haven't seen him on for ages.
I think he is an advertiser though.

I recently saw a set in a GU patrol which were brilliant. All alluminium, light and very strong. The owner told me they came from a Melbourne company but I cant remember the name. They were the best i have seen and I looked at a lot prior to making my own.

Definately worth the search.
