Mr Fawlty
Tonight Monday 6th August 7:30 on SBS Jeremy Clarkson goes Caravanning. I've seen it before on pay tv but it shows all of those of you who think they may want to try this lifestyle the "pitfalls" to watch out for. If it weren't sposed to be serious it would be very funny,
well it still is funny - from the perspective of a bloke who forgot to open the garage door and left the drivers door open when he backed of ramps in his garage.........

I wouldn't use it as a definative guide to the caravanning way of life. Vey funny and hysterical in some parts, yes, but informative, I think not.
Take it tongue in cheek as I think it was intended, especially as it covers caravanning in the UK.

Lucy, Lucy, Lucy..... that's all there was too it. I simply forgot to engage my brain before engaging revese gear. There was some 'colourful' language after but I think it innapropriate to enunciate that here.... all the sailors would be blushing....

camp near them and NEVER to tow with a Kia (30 mile an hour flat out). we are sure some of it must of been put up because no body could be that stupid- could they? i wonder how many people it turned off of
camping. good show.

When you watch it for the second or third time you realise how much of a setup it all was. Most of their stuff is a setup, obviously, but this one was a fairly poor effort. Whats more dissapointing this these goddamn REPEATS...

I saw it first time last night & knew fairly early on it was a setup with some pretty poor acting too.
The whole "You backed into someone else's van" & "Fire" incident was far too obvious as a setup.
Still funny.

Top Gear is one of very few things on my must watch tv list. They really know what their audience likes - don't bother trying to cater for pc types.
And I have seen a few caravanners like that on oz roads.
