Has anyone replaced the factory side mirrors on a 75-series Troopy with truck (maybe?) mirrors.

I want to replace the side mirrors with bigger mirrors but still use the factory holes (2) instead or maybe an additional 3rd hole lower down.

Would most truck mirrors be the same?

If your current mirrors are those I think they are I will buy them at a good price for my 62 series , if they are still good , when you get your new mirrors

Are they the type with a mirror inside a cover or case

I replaced mine with the Trayback mirrors DIY no worries, just a bit tight trying to get the hand on the inside past the window winding mechanism to get the nut on aprt from that ...easy,then I went to Repco and got the smaller mirror instead , that one don't shake as much

Hi,
There's a discussion going on at the moment on the YahooOz Troopy site about replacing the standard mirrors on a 75/78 Series Troopy with the mirrors off the new 76 Series Troopy.

Aparently the 76 Series mirrors are quite good and are a direct bolt on, no holes to drill.

Yeah I just noticed the Troopy site. But spending over $300 on a pair of mirrors with no electrical adjustment is just ridiculous!!!
