Eric from what I have found out most of the lime at limeburners creek was from shells. the kilns where built to cook down limestone which appears in a seam past kundabung and on to Willi Willi caves area. there are still visible chisel marks on large pieces of limestone and up untill a bushfire some years ago wooden structures where found with handmade nails in them. But in thier wisdom Parks and Wankers allowed them to burn down along with some other heritage listed mining equipment that they took over to protect. Bit hesitant to give grid references on public forum as tresure hunters have already made a mess of 2 kilns. Brad

Tex if you wouldn't mind forwarding the co-ords if you don't want to publish public. I will be heading to Brissy mid June & would love to take time out to have a squiz. I can provide references if you are doubting my credibility or integrity.
