We have just recently moved to Australia. Have bought a Landcruiser. Now I need to buy a GPS. Should I buy 2? I need street navigation to assist me in cities and open roads but I also want to be able to use it off-road, track routes and down load maps. Please assist as the sales people in the shops have no idea what to sell me.
Kind regards
Gawie Marj

Just gone thru this same decision process, the quest is a good unit like all garmins are, but i would guess that you would like a touch screen, much easier too use i would suggest the nuvi range 310 or the 660. Go the 660 if the budget can be stretched. Also look for Tracks 4 Australia as a support mapping program for the unit.

Have a look at the HP Travel Companion - selling at a very reasonable price at Johnny Appleseed at the moment.

It is a PDA GPS. Has the Tom Tom software for on road navigation.

I have OziExplorer CE on mine for off-road navigation.
