Trying to track down a possible wiring problem with my Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller and see that the Minimum wire guage (in instructions from USA ) is for 14 GA.

Anyone know what the equivalent guage is in Australia?

Thanks

Pedro

Hi Pedro,
Someone supplied me with this link off the site a while back. I think GA is AWG?

Hi Peter R, the first column is the G cable size and the 4th column gives you the mm2 size, so your 14G cable is 2.08mm2 which is just a bit thicker that 4mm automotive cable ( 1.85mm2 )

If the instructions state the minimum cable size is 14G then the nearest cable size above that would be 5mm automotive cable ( 2.9mm2 )

Hope this helps, cheers
