Hi All I'm just wondering if the 2002 tail lights ( clear looking ) will fit in the 1998 GU 2.8ltr.? Does the wiring, plugs fit straight up or do you have to modify it to fit ?.

The bottom taillights should all be the same, the top lights are only for good looks only the reverse light on on side works, all the plugs are the same.

I'll go one step further for ya mate. The body lights in a Patrol are easy to wire up,,,everything is there except the reverse light wire on the drivers side. If your gunna upgrade to series 3 body lights, go for the extra expense and hook them up a working lights as
well.
You can use a few different types of globe holders etc to do this. Check the
forum called.

look in th GU section then serch for the thread on body lights,,,there are a few there.
One very important factor if you do this tho.........DO NOT disconect the lights in the bumper,,,they are a requirement under current A.D.R.'s and MUST remain working.
