G’day
Has anybody had a problem with fuel injection pump with a pajero DID.
We were on our way back from
cape york almost made it home then the engine stopped while doing 100km on the highway, the electronic fuel pump had to be replaced (the immobilizer switch from what I can make out)

Most of the new electronic fuel pumps are very prone to
water damage, as in
water in fuel. I haven't had to replace a Pajero one yet but have replaced numerous Patrol ZD30 pumps and also Rodeo's. It's not a cheap job either !!

I have heard on here b4 that running a paj did out of fuel blows the pump aswell....so a blockage in the lines due to algai would do thesame im guessing....and algai comes from
water in fuel....make sure you get those lines checked thoroughy...and use some algai treatment to be sure.

A search thrugh the arcives should find the post...maybe the person who had to buy a new pump was just a one off...its impossible to draw conclusions from one occurance, and your experience seems to blow that conclusion out of the
water..

That might have been some of the problem as the fuel was very low when it stopped. (fuel light was not on)
