Hi All

Well my old Nissan Front Diff & Transfer Box is starting to get a bit noisy.
My mechanic said there is no worry at the present, as it is not serious noise yet .He drained the oils & took of the covers & inspected .
He Stated old girl is good for another 200.000 Km . & the bearing are getting on in years ,the crown & Pinion is in great shape.
I have read in another forum that Royal Purple Synthetic Oil, HD Diff Oil 140/90. Is great to quite the noise down.
I hate any vehicle noise that is new. Back in the 50s we put in banana skins to get of noise in gear box or diff.LOL

yeah it's expensive LOL

It's a good oil and the price represents that, I don't know about it's ability to quite down bearing noise, I would say it would be it's viscosity of 90W/140 that does that rather than the oil formula itself

Cheers.
