Hello, I have been looking on ebay for a 2"lift kit for my 80series. I have found what looks to be a huge bargain, 4x Hydraulic Desert Fox shocks and 4x Dobinson Coils. This kit is selling for $495.00 (D.I.Y.) plus $95.00 freight. I was wondering if anyone has used this Brand of lift kit, and if so are you happy with it?

Regards: Phil

I can vouch for the Dobinson coils, very good, can't comment on the shocks though, seem to remember reading something about them a little while ago, not sure if it was good or bad though.

Cheers

Personally, i would stop thinking cheap and start thinking value for money...your going to have to put up with the ride for a long time, so is it worth spending that sort of money if you dont know what the resultant ride will be??
Old man emu kits were 800ish new with warrenty...thats a word worth $500 if a shock starts leaking...etc.....why do u think they are being sold on ebay??? seconds maybe???

pf11,

Looked at the same add and ended giving it the flick. Spent $800 and got the ironman lift witht he 41mm foam cells. Only been in just over a month and very happy. Towed the trailer (1000kg +) and still sat pretty level (medium rated in the rear). There are thoughs that s*#tcan ironman but most issues seem to have been with the smaller gas shocks. To date I'm happy, a decent product at the lower end of the market.

ps Any hints on changing forum name, let me know. Have tried without success
