Hello all genius's,
Have any of you smart people stuck a turbo on a 4.5 petrol 100 series?
If so, what was the cost, has it affected fuel consumption, what mods were required and would you recommend it?
By the way, my 100 is on gas, any issues?
Thankyou in advance.
Regards
Brendan...

I have an LC80 4.5L and have wondered the same. Mines done 200K and from memory this is a factor in deciding to Turbo or not.
Look forward to responses too.

Northside 4X4 at the Caboolture turn off north of
Brisbane did a 4.5 petrol Blandcruiser not long ago, Ball bearing turbo, intercooled for 12 grand.
Fuel consumption will be around the same, give them a ring, I'm sure they'll give you a quick run down on what's required concerning the LPG side of it.
Cheers

I installed a safari kit on my 94 fzj80 and it transformed a blandcruiser into a wrx-cruiser...i had to put a part time kit in the transfer so i could steer it on acceleration.....i had to put a shift kit in the auto to hold the power...(240kw) it was quite hard to go back to a diesel after that...but at 23 litres of premium per 100kms...i found myself sitting at home instead of going on that day trip.....all that power needs to be played with :@)

think the new owner of the kit would love that sort of economy
--- But he does seem to use the extra power
