I copped it a few weeks back...........felt like a train had hit me.
Best remedy is home-made chicken soup with lemon squeezed in it.

Not had it yet, but my Doc told me last visit that most people who say they have the flu .... don't - "when you get it, you'll be too crook to come in and see me" he said ! Rob's analogy of the train must be right - guess you had the same. BTW - re germs picked up in public - not a lot we can practically do about airbornes, but for hands we have some of that alcohol gel in a pump, from the Pharmacy - we keep it in the car and wipe the hands with that after having to touch door handles etc. .... there is some nasty stuff living on public surfaces ...... some hospitals now command staff and visitors to use the gel everytime they enter a ward.
Little kids are the worst probably - what they bring home from playgroup is too scary !!

Yep, just came down with it today! The real bonus is that i get to mow 20 lawns a day for the rest of the week! AHHHHHHHH
