Well having spent a few days in
Adelaide, yesterday I decided to check out the 4-wheel driving spots around
Adelaide using an old thread from here for directions. Ended up at Cox's scrub. At the end of Ridge Rd about to enter the area, went to drive through a fairly innocent looking puddle. That innocent looking puddle was about 2-3 feet deep, with ruts where 33inch MTR's couldn't touch the bottom. Fortunately there wasn't any real damage and the local farmer wouldn't accept any more than $10 for pulling me out, so a fun afternoon that is all part of 4 wheeling with a lesson learnt the hard way. It did get me thinking though, 33inch MTR's didn't touch the bottom of these ruts, I know a number of people in SA run 35's, anyone running anything bigger than 35's, and how did you get them ADR approved? I am not out to have a go at anyone just curious and thinking about running two sets of
wheels myself.
Cheers
Snowy

I run 35's and they are fine for my needs. However, I am always wary of innocent looking puddles (I came unstuck in PNG one time in the 80's due to such a "puddle").
I always try to find the easiest way around an obstacle...... as much for the sake of the track as to avoid any un-planned cessation of forward motion!!!! hahaha
