Hi eveyone. We are on the road at the moment and have been using our camps 4 book. The coordintes in the book are slightly different to our Garmin Nuvi 310. Poor old 'Karen' (the female voice) almost had a stroke when we keyed in the ones from the book! I remember reading a post about this a while back but I cant seem to find it now. I only have access to the net at the moment because I am at a cousins house so I thought I would look it up or ask the question. Do we just need to add .0 to the seconds in the camps book so that the GPS recognises it?
Thanks guys!

Hi live4theweekends, a quick way is you can go into settings and change your Lat/Log display from Deg.min to Deg.min.sec. , key in the new coords and change back to Deg.Min. Karen will do the conversion after you ask her nicely.
Don't forget to tell her how beautiful she looks :-)

The Nuvi will accept all Garmin files of course as in the gpx type file, and the Microsoft Office Excel Comma Separated Values Files , what you do is put them all into a folder together and upload them into the unit using the Garmin POI uploader, it will accept 1000s of points,
And yes that website is about the best for Australian points but GME has some good Voice points also , find the links on my POI website Points of Interest
