Morning all.we i asked the other day re:fuel filters ...and have decided to put a cav style filter in .....now my Q:is im also thinking of putting a after market 3/4 psi fuel pump in...(did some digging in the archives)..as i think maybe..i need a little more pressure as .sometimes stalls on big uphill crawls...(and no the revs arnt to low.:)).but this is getting beyond a joke.for me....am also looking at putting in a on of switch for auto choke.....as on cold mornings and in heavy fog...she looses all power and that's it ....will still rev but nothing like she should ......stop for a few mins....and away she goes like a rocket......im thinking with the cold air forced down da snorkel the chokes coming on..stop((warms up in the filter box .choke resets and all is good.... (a little of track here sorry)...Q:: is if i put elec after market fuel pump in line to help with pressure...will that do anything to factory pump in da tank.??.and if factory unit ....sh_t_ itself will the extra pump still be able to draw fuel up ...? or will factory pump block of outgoing fuel . cheers BUNDY........................

If you put an extra fuel pump in line and it's not working then that means the the main pump will have to try and push through it, So opinion would be 1 pump only , Instead of directing the money to that why don't you put a diesel in it , or better still trade it in on a new 70 Series V8TD Troopy, You must be making a mint these days......

Are you sure its starving from inadequate fuel pressure? It could be the extreme angle of the carb on a hill climb.
Maybe your existing fuel pump is tired

If you put another fuel pump on leave some extra length in the fuel line so if it ceases to work you can remove the pump and rejoin it with some metal fuel tube and clamps;)

The RB 30 carbys have always been wwell known for starving the motors on hill climbs. My suggestion if you get no joy here would be to try a nissan forum as they may well be tweaks to the carby to improve things much as the way holley 350s can be tweaked to give better 4wd performance
