During my recent escapade to
Cape York- stopped for a cuppa (as you do) and Troopy was bleeding GREEN. Yup, a leak in the radiator. What it turned out to be was- there is a plastic stone guard under the radiator with virtually no clearance. On the corrugations the plastic guard rubbing 'chaffed' thru the bottom
tank of the radiator. A bit of epoxy metal & a foam rubber insulator with a dose of StopLeak and we were off.
Just a suggestion to check that there is a bit of clearance between the guard & the bottom
tank!!!
I'll put the radiator out next week and give it a permanent soldered repair.

In the early HJ75 either ute or troopy they used to have a guard under the radiator made out of some sort of compostion that looked like thick cardboard , and the little clips holding it used to get bent upwards and they used to rub against the bottom
tank and wear through , I can remember repairing quite a few of them over the years :) If yours is a later one looks like they still have that problem :)

mine rubbed through down the bottom on the p/s pipes - check nothing can rub coz it will over time if it can. Luckily for me I was covered for 106km of trayback East of Alice into town

Hi Signman, there is a good 25mm clearance between the bottom
tank & the stone guard on my troopy (1990 model) . I've never had the problem you have been experiencing & that is over 300,000 km of travel throughout Australia over the last 15 years. Cheers.

I have not had that Problem and I won't either, I took it off about 3 years ago and tossed it , same with the heavy Gearbox guard , I don't do rock crawling , without it allows more air to flow around the gearbox in summer
