A question about the power steering in my GQ patrol 4.2 wagon. Last weekend I spent a bit of time driving my old mans GQ ute and noticed his steering is heaps lighter than mine, when I got back in my wagon it felt quite heavy. He has slightly bigger tyres but otherwise the same other than his is a ute and mine is a wagon. Is it normal or is it indicative that my power steer pump is not delivering enough pressure.
hope someone can help....

GQs have problems with steerin boxes, and sometimes power steering pumps. GQs arent a new car, and if they have been offroad a bit, they tend to wear.. Maybe get it checked out, or find a car yard with another GQ in it, and
test drive it, pretend you want to buy it, and grab the keys.

Borrow your're old mans front wheels for half an hour and see how your truck steers with his wheels on it. Then you have eliminated one link in the chain. Copy?
