Hi everyone,
Is there any member who has had a problem with a flapping noise
coming from the exterior flow through ventilation vents on the back of the single cab on a D22 Navara.
Mine is a 2005
STR single cab with steel tray. It appears the wind strikes the tray forcing the little rubber flaps in side the vents to flutter. The result is unwanted cabin noise. Has any one found a quick fix.

I put the vents to fresh and the noise is gone in my Patrol C/C. This creates a pressure differentaion inside the small cabin space and therefore makes the vent flaps exhaust thus shutting the buggas up:)
Give it a go, might work for you, too?

Why not take it to the Nissan dealer as the vehicle is still under warranty unless the Kilometers are up.

Tried attatching a bit of rubber/plastic to the body to act as a wind deflecter..and don't make it permanent till you are sure it is in the best place
I would imagine that would solve your problem,,
May take a little experimenting at first, but I am sure there is a simple fix.
Or you could try a " custom made " heavier bit of rubber
Cheers

In our 07 Hilux and in our previous hilux same shape we had a rattle in the back thought it was these so removed trim inside and filled up with expandable foam did not fix the rattle (in the 05 no rattle in the 07 rubber groumets used found that to be a plastic groumet under carpet at rear was slightly too small and would rattle when window down) anyway what the foam did was make the cab dust proof we used to get dust in even with windows up and fan on forcing air in but on the corrugations the flaps would let the pressure out. It is slightly harder to close the doors but no dust.
