Hi I have just brought this little truck (547cc). It has 12" 4stud pattern wheels. Want to put something a little more grunty for off road. Has any one got any ideas. I think they were made by Suzuki but with the Mazda badge. cheers

Is this one of the little trucks that if you put 2 blokes in the cab and hit the brakes hard at 20kph, they flip over forward onto their roof?
Great for a funny video

Sorry not much help with wheels or tyres...suggest you chat to a retailer and see what is available then look online at the charts as to what the Rolling Dia change would be.

From experience most small engined vehicles are VERY sensitive to tyre size changes. Any change in the driving ratios usually make them unbearable to drive, being such a fine balance with gearing and power available.

All the best

Matt.

I was told that to put disc brakes onto a Daewoo i was insane, well 15 months of research lots of time in wrecking yards (i worked in one part time for 12 years), i found a disc brakes setup that bolts straight on and no hassles except cable lentgh, being in the car now for 2 years and the thign stops faster then a F1 race car! plus the 15/195/50's help and lowered suspension!!!!

if you want bigger wheels you will probaly need to go down in tyre size depending on the rim size etc etc, there's al;so a ruling by the RTA or whatever state your in (except the utter chaos one), that states you can only go no more then 2 inchs in height and doesn't alter the vehicle track by more then half and incheither direction, ie;daewoo lanos has 155/13/95's from memory, I put 195/50/15's on. I also had a big bleep fight with NRMA F#$%ers about going to big, till i told them that i was sliding thru intersections in the wetwhen braking from 20 - 30 metres away from lights at 80klms thru berowra.

Talk to a tyre guy he know's whats best. And a good one will give yougreat advice, as this is only a guide and not to be taken to seriously. Check your state reg's first? i knew what i could get away with by helping an Approved RTA inspector and reading the books he had which is also on the website in the doc's section.

But check the reg's fiirst and the insurance company and your tyre guy also.
