What is the best way to mount your winch. Or should I say what are the relative merits of mounting your winch-
-High mount.
-Low mount.

High & Low mount doesn't refer to the position you fit the winch rather they are both 2 different types of
winches. High mount is an older design with the electric motor above the drum & the gearbox on the side. They are very fast, strong, have 50m of cable but are pretty expensive. Because of their size they stick out of the top of the bull bar & often the grill even needs cutting to get it in.
High Mount
Low mounts are the common type with a motor at one end, gearbox at the other joined with the drum in the middle. They are slower, lighter, have less cable & fit down in the bar.
