Locks on drawbar mounted box

The locks mounted in the lid of the aluminium box lets water into the box, all the camping bits etc.. floats in the water and starts to rust.

Are there any turnlocks that be waterproof?

Any other suggestions?

TIA

Thanks Willie, that's more or less what I do now, its amazing how the water gets pushed under this when it is on chequered surface and the tape gets loose.

Was hoping someone knows a lock type that's waertight

ahhh...you mean water getting in the key hole!

I thought you meant around the mount itself! Soz!

I have seen *somewhere* rubber caps that go over lock barrels for outdoor key-switches - maybe try a security system supplies place?

Another option may be the rubber caps off "starter" or "horn" buttons - buy a cheap one and use the rubber hood

I'm not quite sure about the type of lock you have, but I stretch a section of bicycle inner tube over my standard padlocks to protect the keyhole from dust and water - cheep and effective.

Cheers,
Jezza.
