Yes, But i thick it may get some panel damage, the top end to the track is tight and twisty, but they have had some fires through that area since we whet through in 2005

I think Member-Captain did it with a van, BUT had to get the side of the van replaced

Regards

Richard

Hi there,

I did this with my Windsor Rapid (13"6') and managed to rip off all side fittings (rollout awning, roof clips, indicators, TV antenae etc...) as well as punturing the sides and breaking a window.

My van was an offroad model and there was no damage to chassis, suspension or internal fittings, it was simply a case of being too big to snake around trees etc... A Jayco Swan was also along for the trip and while his damage was less (van not as high) there was still plenty of damage.

The damage I did was the defining moment in my decision to sell the van and get my camprite camper trailer. I wanted to continue traversing tracks like this and my caravan would not allow this.

Bottom line is... you have been warned :)

Cheers

Captain

Hi, I did it this time last year with a camprite camper, my cousin took and old Jaco swan and the only damage was to rip the door handle off(as they stick out a ways) and some scrathes to the sides plus some debris in the leading edges of the van. Some duct tape fixed this up.
Take it easy and i reckon no issues.

Cheers, Rob

Hi kvtj - what dates are you planning on going?

Refer to recent thread 48290. We had planned to go through mid September without the caravan, but are a bit doubtful about the narrow winding woodlands section with our F250. I started asking in thread 46510. I don't know if there are any possible better alternatives to bypass that section, so appreciate any feedback. I recall David (ExplorOz) did the trip through the Holland Track fairly recently for do the Trek Note.

I was just going to suggest moving the mini discussion between Richard and Motherhen to an earlier thread on Holland Track, as we had hijacked Willem's "I'm home' thread, however keeping you in the picture as well seems to be a good idea. Relevant extracts hereunder;

Posing only for the photo - we haven't be away with it yet. I have booked a couple of weeks leave for late September to try it out (without the caravan). Hoping to do the Holland Track, but have reservations about the narrow winding woodlands end of the track as we don't want to get it all scratched just yet. The Old Rooster is saying we should go to sheep sales in Adelaide instead.

I would agree with Rooster

I wouldn't that that on the north end off the Holland track , I'd say a wee bit too long, I got sore arm's in the troopy .. LOL

Cheers
Richard

Thanks for the feedback on the track Richard. Can you recall where this stretch starts, and if there are any better alternatives to get to the Highway (Great Eastern or Kal-Norseman) from there, or are they worse?

The track between Banker MT Day Road and Victoria rock road
around Thursday rock. look the track is not that bad, it is a bit tight and windy in places around this area but no worse than most WA 4WD drive tracks.

We travelled through there in 2003 maybe a lot has changed, it's one of those tracks that is a must..

Cheers Richard
