Hi Hairy, I have a Garmin 510 which I bought primarily for city use and its great feature is text to speech.Intend using it on trip Martins
Well to Olary(S A) and it seems to have roads in map data that are not on most paper maps.It has got gaps in it.eg Plenty hwy is not continuous so its a real dirt road compromise. Brilliant software in it

Get your self a copy of Tracks4Australia mapping software and the Donohue/Plenty Hwy's will be shown , but the unit won't do routeing whilst set on T4A but the cursor will be shown on the moving map , my opinion is.....bloody perfect, have a look at the website I have , you will notice I haven't mentioned the 510 but it will perform in it no problems,
