Hi Graeme

Hope you'll leave the flu behind and have a really beaut enjoyable trip. Look forward to your report on return. As you may be 'first through' do you have a chainsaw on board?

My son and daughter in law came through that way a few years ago. It was January or early February around 6 or 7 years ago when they returned from Qld via the NT, and struck a lot of rain. Uluru was flooded out, and much of central WA was closed due to flooding and washed out roads. They came through the Holland Track as a way to get home to the south coast. Found the winding section scratched even the Hilux (hence our reservations about taking the F250 through), and met a huge area of water, and as there was no turning back, gave it a go - found the base hard rock and got through no troubles. That's all they recall of the trip through the Holland Track - no problems at all.

I'm sure you'll find it easy. Think of us with the size of the F250 and tell us what you think.

Will you be going through the Woodlines and Cave Hill area as well? From the booklet that sounded even more interesting.

Happy and safe travelling

Will do motherhen .We have a chain saw and one of the guys has done the track before towing a camper that is a bit wider than his patrol and had no trouble. It started raining while he was on the track but he got out ok.

Hi Green Hobbit

Someone has to clear it so we greenies can get through and enjoy the bush.

Go for it Graeme, and have a good trip. Rain shouldn't be a problem as when my son went through, it was because other routes they normally would take south were flooded. Perhaps being summer was why the base was hard and no boggy areas, but it has been a dry winter inland.

Graeme In regards the Holland Track I suggest you contact the Toyota Landcruiser Club of WA. They try and get out there a couple of times a year to renew signs and do maintenance.

They have a website for contact details and would be happy to assist you.
