Hi all,
I ordered the above DVD from the
Shop last week and watched the first half last night. I must say that I think that the DVD is an excellent production thus far, and 'shows' what it is really like to travel the tracks of our great land, in average vehicles and with average people. Now if I could just get
my home videos to look like that..............................................................................

Craig, nice to hear that. I cringe when I see the rubbish provided by certain magazines that want to feature the amount of booze they pack. I know they are only pushing particular branded products with just a sideline trip added as the vehicle

Morning John, at least you read between the lines and know where I was coming from:).

I have been adept at reading between lines at times Craig. I can't bear celebrity status or even pseudo celebrity that some of these folks exhibit. Rather see people in their own environment. I think that is probably another reason why EO events are so nice.
My perceptions aren't always correct though ;-))))

Agree. We couldn't make the last EO get together due to my wife having to fly to Hervey Bay for a family emergency, and when she returned we went almost straight away to the Simpson. I, too, have met many a fine EO member in my travels and that is where I base my perceptions as
well; in the flesh, so to speak.

i too have bought the canning dvd.i think it makes the stock route look a little bit easier to do than it really is.but that does depend on varying conditions.my mate and i went as passengers with a tour operator in 1999 and he went with his son in their own vehicle in 2000-01 and they had had some rain up there and the trip was a lot different and harder than the previous trip.but it still is a good dvd to watch even after having done the trip
