Is all the land S of Stockyard Pt. national park now, or is there still a spot for dogs?
How is the road in to Stanage at the moment?
Is Blanco Falls-Kennedy road open?
What's the dog status of Koombooloomba these days?

Been a while since we were 'home': thanks for any current advice.
Regards,
Jeff H.

Hi Jeff and sadly all south of Stockyard Point is now pretty much under Nat Park management so no dogs. The local also stick their noses in there as well as a permit is required to even drive on the beach. Three Rivers Beach has also gone totally. Haven't been up to Stanage recently as have been on The Cape but there has just been a major military exercise in the training area and that always knocks the road about a bit. as to your other queries have no idea.

Thanks Beachbum. So the rumour was true. Will head for Carmila Bch first night. Then push on by feel 'till we hit familiar ground.
Probably got flamin resorts on some of the old spots by now.
Appreciate you taking the time.
Jeff.

Thanks to all the FNQ contacts.
What's the problem? Your terminals all corroded?
Or simply can't stand anyone who lives S of Townsville?
(I know the feeling; hahaha[ta Gramps]).

Dunno Gramps: a month? Depends on both the weather and the march of civilisation.
(And they're possibly not hiding Al - more like licking cane toads).
BTW, got images today of Princess and Friends (mainly Tully girls), on their Adriatic cruise aboard a 42' (by the images) yacht.
Bloody brilliant. Seems I did one thing right, anyway.[What a Saint!!]
Onya Ole Man.

Jeff,
I read in a 4wd Aust mag recently the road to Blanco from Kennedy has been closed due to the bad state of the range up there. Pity, it was an interesting drive.

Cheers Drew

Thanks Drewab. I had heard there was some dispute about which mob was liable for that road. Seems it's still unresolved.
Will call in at the Kennedy store anyway, and get the latest.
Sure was a top drive: rainforest/sclerophyll alternating.
Always reckoned it would be a magnificient bike ride . sigh.
Nearest we got was a coast down the Gillies one full-moon night. Lights, helmets and engine all off. Bliss!!
Best I stop drooling. (And the Staff think it's dementure. hehe)
Thanks again,
Jeff.
