On Saturday night, one of my waitresses came into the kitchen & asked if had time to talk to a cpl of customers before service started
I said i had a few mins . When i went out to the waitress station low & behold there stands fellow EO & YP4x4 club members Luke & Careen

And as you can see they survived the experience lol

G'day chef, looks like they could survive the meeting, but did they survive a meal? I see they hadn't started at that stage. Then we haven't heard of people missing on the news, that were going to dine at Port Vincent.

Looking forward to catch up at the Pyrenees mate

Soooooo, I'm guessing my (yes, MY) directions as to how to get to Port Vincent from Kadina via Wallaroo and the beachfront track that Lucky reckons I got lost on, must have been pretty-well spot on!!! So much for MOI not having a very good sense of direction!!! hahaha

Glad to see they made it okay.....

Cheers

Roachie, what you have failed to mention is the fact that they were going there for LUNCH and Your directions were so BAD that they didn't arrive until DINNER time. LOL

I have survived a meal at Warrens a few years ago and I can heartily recommend the experience. Great Food, great table with magnificent views and excellent service.

Yes Roachie your directions were good, I didn't get lost, just missed a turn ;) when we went through Arthurton I took a wrong turn and started towards Maitland but realised a couple of ks out of Arthuton and found a dirt road that cut across to the road from Arthuton to Ardrossan.

Hey, Aussiechef, how good was that. Don't take any notice of those scumbags up above - they are just jealous. I personally can't wait to eat at PV with you as my chef (actually I would eat anywhere I didn't have to cook, oh dear!). Looks like a very nice spot.

Thanks Warren

It was a great day we had on Saturday, just getting away from the city (toooo much wedding talk here lol) so was good to jump in the Patrol (at the last minute) and have a day where it wasn't spoken about lol.

Was good to see you again, even though it was brief.
The shnitszel (spell check wont fix that one) parmy was one of the best I've had from a pub in a long time, Thanks again

Cheers Luke

The garlic prawns are good.
So is the surf and turf.
The Ventnor sauce is delicious.
And the Chef looks after the Coeliacs too :).

For those who dont' know that is people who are gluten intolerant lol
all our cream sauces are made from actual maze flour
So our Ventnor sauce, Reef n beef sauce, dianne sauce, garlic sauce
& cabonara sauce are all made with maze flour as are our roast gravys
most corn flours if you look @ the sides of the packets are made with wheat products not corn
just a little bit of trivia lol

Hahaha Ruth, there's non left down here ! have you seen the number of boats around the YP.

Look forward to catching up with you 2 as well, even if we have to eat Gluten free food at PV hotel. LOL
I eat it most days.
Was talking to a couple at the Kadina show who might join the YP 4wd club, and she to is a coeliac, that will make 3 in our club.

Oh the pain! LOL

Cheers Pesty and Glenda

Oh yeah, thanks for that Pesty - I hear you scared the you know what out of poor Gone Bush (WA) when he pulled up for fuel in Clare the other day - before he told me who it was I guessed it was you!
That's good about all the people for the YP Club. Tell them that if travelling in Queensland that the Mitchell Bakery (fantastic array of foods for such a tiny hole in the wall shop) does all gluten-free on Thursdays.
I gather the gluten-free bread is much improved, Glenda, I vividly remember that bread you had made which we toasted.
Getting ready for the races - few people have arrived all ready, couple of camps down the river.
