The
Broken Hill Caravan
Park on the
Adelaide Road is a good one.
The
Adelaide Caravan
Park at Hackney is close to the city if that's what you want.
There is a good big Caravan
Park at
West Beach too. Not sure of the name now though.

Broken Hill
The main
park on the
Adelaide road (by the
cemetery) is quite flat, spacious, clean and tidy - very easy going, with good standard amenities - never had an issue of any sort there.
Cobar
We went to the main
park on the
Broken Hill Rd (western edge of town) - quite ok - clean and tidy - good amenities - only staff we saw were in the office and seemed not to give a hoot about anything - but someone was obviously looking after the place.

Should have said -
Adelaide Shores at
West Beach has very good raps - immaculate presentation - might cost a bit - right on
the beach (have not stayed there - I live here :-o)

G'day Pedro, I agree with Rod's comments on Moree, we stayed there just on two years ago, the thermal pools
well worth the stop.
The van
park was full of
grey nomads like us at the time as were the pools. Anyway there was a much younger couple staying on the site next to us who we had met up with a few days before at
lightning ridge. The blokes wife reckoned she was NOT about to hop in the pools, as by looking at us lot she was of the opinion that the thermal
water caused wrinkles !! Women.
We stayed at
Cobar just on twelve months ago, can't remember the name of the van
park, (I think there is only only one?) Anyway it is the first on as you come into
Cobar on the Barrier hwy from
Broken Hill. We found it to be very clean, good sized sights, many of them drive though, & plenty of trees & very clean amenities blocks. If you have an interest in birds ( the feathered ones) they have a pretty good aviary. Happy & safe travelling.

Thanks to all for the helpful comments on the various parks.
It is interesting the site that Wizard1 gave had the
Broken Hill park as a no no but that was a year ago.
Looks like Dave B ,Darian and Scoof had no problems there so have made booking and it is a drive through site so that is good news.
Gwyder
Park at Moree sounds like the go so booking made .
Cobar is one van
park but seems to be OK, and have made a booking at the
Adelaide Shores in
Adelaide (Big4).
Thanks again
Pedro

I can vouch for the Gwyder
park at Moree . The pools are fantasic but the nomads will insist on you having a shower before you get in . Plenty of shady sites and management is excellent

I dont believe you can book for the
Cobar caravan park (only one in town) - if its busy - get in early.
Its a very tidy
park.
good luck

Pedro,
Silverton is about 20 mins drive from
Broken Hill.
Not on the way to
Adelaide, but you can spend a few hours there very easily.
It's
well worth the trip if you have time.
MM me and I can give you a lot more info if you like.
Dave

Moree is great especially if your stay at the hot springs (pools) one. We've thoroughly enjoyed them.
We've stayed at
Cobar a few times in the height of summer and found that excellent too.
When we stay in
Broken Hill we stay at the
Broken Hill Caravan
Park (
Adelaide side) and we always like to stay on the gravel section - cleaner we think.
Adelaide - the one at
West Beach is a Best caravan
Park winner.
