Hi Brett,

Hubby put extractor's plus a 2.75 inch exhaust on our 4.5lt 80 series to improve the fuel performance of his baby. It improved slightly but they are an incredibly thirsty beast. I must say his 'babies ' vocal performance sounds better that his sons v8 dunny door, certainly turns heads when I take it shopping. Not that I give the young guns any ammo of course.

Not sure about the lockers, I would have thought that the limited slip diff would be enough but perhaps put the lockers on the front first but then I'm just a female what would I know. I believe ARB do same!

Regards
Debbie

Can't help on exhaust but we put frt and rear ARB Air lockers in. Been good as gold and outstanding off road.

Ive got the 2and half pipe and extractors on mine, dosnt increase economy that much but I did notice the difference in power,

with the locker first I would check to see if your LSD is still operational, if it is dont waste your time putting it on your rear put it on your front, make sure it is an air locker, driving around with a full time front locker can sometimes be a pain.

What's the best way to determine if the LSD is still operational, or exactly how operational it is?

what I did (wasnt sure if it was the right thing to do, but someone told me it works) was to lift the right wheel just of the ground via the axel housing, slowly drive off and see if your left wheel takes the drive,, of cause if you got permentent 4WD this wont work. But im sure where ever you want to get the locker fitted they must have test equipment, which would be a lot safer.

Can't comment on the extractors as my Cruiser is a turbo diesel but I toss the rear diff and fitted a Lockrite Lokka - it works well and is half the cost of an air locker.

Another site that may assist you is www.offroad80s.com - it's a new site dedicated to the 80 Series.
